PADI Course Director, Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer, Boat Captain and Ordained Minister.
Judy joined the Cane Bay Dive Shop staff in January 2004, after retiring from 42 years service with the U.S. Navy, as an active duty member and a civil service employee.
As a Course Director, Judy is certified to teach all levels of diving from the basic Scuba Diver through Instructor. She is certified to teach 18 PADI Standard Specialties, plus 3 Distinctive Specialties – Oxygen Administration, Safety Signing and Wall Diving. She wrote and submitted the Wall Diver Specialty to PADI for approval. PADI approved the specialty on 23 April 2007. Only Judy may teach this class.
She is an Instructor and Instructor Trainer for Emergency First Response for Adults and Children (Primary and Secondary), with or without AED.
She is also an Instructor and Instructor Trainer for Digital Underwater Photographer, Deep Diver, Diver Propulsion Vehicle (she has more diver certifications in this specialty than any other PADI Instructor), Enriched Air, Night Diver, Search and Recovery and Wreck Diver.
In addition to her teaching certifications, her credentials include the following:
• PSI/PCI Certified to inspect Scuba Tanks.
• TEC.REC DSAT Gas Blender.
• Coast Guard Six Pax Boat Captain
• And finally, Judy is an Ordained Minister and loves to perform Underwater Weddings.
